The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees consists of seven elected members, who are advocates for public education. Board members are elected, at large, by the community and serve four year terms. The Board meets the third Monday of the month in a public forum.

The members of the Board of Trustees are committed to serving the students and community of this school district. Their goal is to provide a high quality public education that meets the needs of our students in order to prepare them for a successful future. To achieve that goal, our Board of Trustees provide leadership for the local school system, adopting a unified vision and mission, soliciting and balancing participation and input of the members of the community, and advocating on behalf of the educational needs of our students at the local, state and national level.  The success of Santa Fe ISD depends on a shared vision among the School Board, staff, parents and community.

Board elections are conducted biennially. The November Board of Trustees election will be held for Positions 1, 2, 3, and 7. Each Candidate was asked to provide a brief bio and the purpose for which they are seeking a seat as a Santa Fe ISD Board of Trustee. Please take a moment to Meet Your Candidates
