    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

     

    RECOGNITION

    Mrs. Dillon recognized 9 Collegiate H.S. students who received their Associates Degrees at College of the Mainland.  SFHS student Autumn Chambliss was named Valedictorian of Collegiate H.S.  This is the first time a Santa Fe student has been named Valedictorian.  Mr. Dunn honored Ag students who were Champion and Class winners at the 2023 Galveston County Livestock Show & Rodeo.

    Santa Fe Athletics - Coach Wulf recognized the Varsity Baseball team for finishing 3rd in District play.  The team made it to the 1st round of the playoffs.  Coach Whittington recognized the Varsity Softball team with a District record of 9 wins and 2 losses.  The team is now in the 4th round of the playoffs. Coach Miller recognized Pole Vaulter, Nate Williams for his 5th place spot at State competition.

    The District recognized our students, staff and substitute spotlights for the month of May. From Kubacak Elementary, 2nd Grader, Kadence Rodriguez is our elementary spotlight student.  From Santa Fe Junior High, 8th Grader Jenna Locke is our secondary spotlight student. From Santa Fe Junior High, Megan Ott, Assistant Principals secretary, is our spotlight staff member and from Kubacak Elementary, Tiffany Houston is our substitute spotlight winner. Congratulations to everyone.

    Mrs. Dillon recognized the Santa Fe CTE Impact Award winners.  SFHS named Turner Industries as their CTE Business Partner of the year.  Mrs. Dillon also recognized the Health Science program (staff and students) for earning the Top Programs of Study award as well as earning a place in the State competition.  The final award was the Champion for CTE Award.  The CTE Department and Santa Fe High School Administration chose Dr. Bott for this award.  Dr. Bott has been a huge support for the CTE Program.  He was also chosen by the Gulf Coast CTE Association for the Champion for CTE Award.
