    BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

     

    RECOGNITION

    Santa Fe High School recognized the UIL One Act Play Theater Students for placing 3rd out of 7 teams at District and advanced to Bi-District competition for the first time in over 20 years. The students are under the Direction of Mrs. Haley Auzston and Mr. Peter Kinser.

     The High School also recognized the Girls Varsity Bowling Team as they finished as District champs with a 9-0 record and qualified for Regionals.  The team finished 2nd and Freshman McKenna Corbett won the Girls Singles Division.

    Coach Shepherd with Santa Fe Athletics Department recognized the Powerlifting Teams.

    Coach Kluka recognized his Santa Fe Indian Soccer Boys on their play-off run where they achieved Area Champions and Regional Quarterfinalist.

    The District recognized our student, staff and substitute spotlights for the month of April. From Barnett Elementary, 5th Grader, Mason Bruce is our elementary spotlight student.  From Santa Fe High School, 10th Grader Ean Bedard is our secondary spotlight student. We have two staff spotlights for the month, from RJW Elementary, Receptionist Jessica Ramos, is our spotlight staff member and from Barnett Elementary, Special Education Para-professional Cassandra Partida is our second spotlight staff member.  From Santa Fe Junior High Mandy Tinkle is our substitute spotlight winner. Congratulations to all.

    REGULAR AGENDA 

    Approved the interlocal agreement with the Political Subdivision Alliance of Texas (PSAT) for provision of certain insurance coverages for the District.

    Approved the District copier services with Platinum Copiers (Sharp) for 1 extended year of services after having completed 3 previous years in the original contract.

    Approved Employee Basic Life Benefit for the 2023-2024 school year with Lincoln Financial.

    Approved Student Athletic Insurance Coverage for the 2023/2024 school year with Texas Kids First.

    Approved the renewal of RediMD Health Services for the 2023/2024 school year.

    Approved the 2023-2024 TEKS Certification Form.
