Santa Fe High School Senior, Austin Lamb, Shines at NFL High School Skills Showdown
Santa Fe Football senior wide receiver Austin Lamb competed against some of the best high school athletes in the nation and he left as best of the bunch. Austin was the quickest to catch balls from a quarterback on seven different routes in the Best Hands competition. He successfully caught all seven passes in 18 seconds to win the contest.
After coach Mark Kanipes was nominated by the Houston Texans for the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award, he was allowed to invite one senior player to participate in the Skills Showdown.
It was Austin's first trip out of the state of Texas and he was able to meet many NFL stars. He was among 50 total competitors who participated in one of six different skills contests.
