Assistant Chief Gary Forward (409) 927-3132
Gary Forward is a 31 year veteran of law enforcement. A native of New York State, Assistant Chief Forward retired from the City of Saratoga Springs Police Department, New York, where he served as a Lieutenant and the Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division.
Assistant Chief Forward earned an Associate’s Degree in Security Administration from Hudson Valley Community College, New York. He is a graduate of the 217th Session of the FBI National Academy, in Quantico, Virginia, and a graduate of the Drug Unit Commanders Academy of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Officer Jack Saylor 409-927-3134
Officer Saylor is a Master Police Officer of 33 years, he joined the Houston Police Department in the fall of 1984. Officer Saylor retired in December 2016, to join the ranks with Santa Fe ISD PD. During his years with HPD, Officer Saylor worked in patrol, Accident Division, Burglary and Theft Division and retired from the Forgery Unit. He became a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) during his years in the Forgery Unit. Officer Saylor attended and completed D.A.R.E. training in 2017 is now teaching D.A.R.E for Santa Fe ISD.

Officer Crystal Teague (409) 925-9085
Officer Crystal Teague is a 32 year veteran law enforcement officer. Prior to her service with Santa Fe I.S.D., she has served with the Houston Police Department, the Bellaire Police Department, and honorably retired from the Galveston Police Department where she served as a detective investigating homicides, robberies, assaultive offenses, and crimes of domestic violence. She is considered a subject matter expert on family violence issues. Officer Teague holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminology from Sam Houston State University, as well as a Master Peace Officer and Instructor License from TCLEOSE. Officer Teague completed DARE Officer Training in Louisiana and is currently a DARE Instructor at Kubacak Elementary School.

Officer Elizabeth Moore 409-925-9318
Officer Elizabeth (Cibby) Moore is a 22-year veteran of law enforcement, of which she spent 20+ years at the Galveston Police Department. She retired from the Galveston Police Department having served in Patrol, the Crime Scene Unit, and in the Criminal Investigation Division (Crimes Against Children).
Officer Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from The University of Houston Downtown. She also holds a Master Peace Officer License with TCOLE. Officer Moore completed DARE Officer Training in Louisiana and is currently a DARE Instructor at Kubacak Elementary School.

Officer J.W. Peek is a 25 year law enforcement veteran. He has previously served with the League City Police Department, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, the University of Houston Clear Lake Police Department, and the San Jacinto College Police Department. Officer Peek holds a Master Peace Officer and Jailer License from TCOLE. He has been a long time foster parent for the Child Protective Services.

Sergeant Rodney Welsh is a 20 year law enforcement veteran with previous service with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.He holds a Master of Science Degree and a PhD from UTMB. He is licensed as both a Physical and Occupational Therapist. He holds an Advanced Peace Officer License with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
Officer Pam Ellis
Officer Pam Ellis is a 21 Year law enforcement veteran with previous service with the Galveston Police Department and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Ellis earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from College of the Mainland. She holds a TCOLE Masters peace officer certificate, a registered Nurse, and certified Paramedic. Officer Ellis is a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard.

Chief Walter Braun (409) 927-3130
Chief Braun is a 30 year veteran of law enforcement, with previous service with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office and the City of Galveston Police Department, from which he retired after 20 years of service with the rank of Captain. Chief Braun holds a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Leadership, Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts, Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, and an Associate of Arts.
Chief Braun is a graduate of the 223rd Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia, the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas at Sam Houston State University, and the Galveston County Sheriffis Academy. Chief Braun holds a Master Peace Officer and Instructor License from TCOLE, as well as Paramedic licensure with the Texas Department of Health Services. Chief Braun also served in the U.S. Army, retiring from the Texas Army National Guard after 21 years of service.
