COVID19-UPDATE: In the interest of safety for all staff, students and visitors SFISD is permitting only essential access to campuses and buildings. This excludes access to classrooms for student observations; however, the district will continue to review and evaluate procedures in coordination with local and state health officials. As procedures change, updates will be communicated on the SFISD website.
Classroom observations will be scheduled September through March each school year for students/interns seeking observation hours to meet course/program requirements, maximum hours sixteen (16).
Step 1: Schedule an appointment with the Support Specialist for Human Resources by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 2: Meet with the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and complete a Santa Fe ISD Criminal History Information Student Teacher Observation Form.
Step 3: During the meeting, you must present a documentation letter from the university professor or certification program explaining required observation hours.
Step 4: Once accepted, you will be placed on an approved student observation list that is shared with the campus/s. Student interns are responsible for making contact with the campus to schedule their observation days and times.
